This is my accordion teacher, Marcia Lane. She is one of the most unusual people I know, and one of the coolest. She let me take her picture for a school assignment. I like this shot so much I thought I’d share.

For some reason I’m really looking forward to the forthcoming My Brightest Diamond album, so I went over to the Asthmatic Kitty website to find its release date. While I was there I was struck by what a cool portrait this is.
The album comes out 18 oct, by the way. It’s going to be great.
